Behind the Isuzu Trucks juggernaut, Hino Distributors took second place in new truck registrations for July 2017 with 79 units hitting local roads, which the company says while expected, was still a pleasing result.
The recently-appointed general manager at Hino Distributors, Micheal Doeg says he was especially pleased with the July result.
“We are satisfied with the number of July registrations, and although expected, it is still a very strong result and helps to keep us on the targetted budget for the year,” says Doeg.
According to Doeg, Hino saw 43 medium-duty truck registrations, 31 light-duty truck registrations, and five heavy-duty trucks registered in July.
“We are doing very well in the concrete and rubbish markets, and we continue to see a growing demand for our 300-series light-duty vehicle products,” he says.
“Enquiry on new trucks has been strong for the first half of the year as a whole, but there has been a very slight tapering off in inquiry over the last month,” says Doeg.
