The numbers of new heavy trucks arriving in New Zealand continues strongly, with the 214 trucks over 3500 kg landing here in June the second highest monthly tally this year.
The biggest month so far this year was in May, with 235 heavy trucks being landed here.
The year started with 169 new trucks over 3500 kg arriving in January, rising to 186 in February, 200 in March 202 in April – then 235 in May, and 214 in June.
Total number of new heavy trucks landed here year-to-date is 1206.
On the used side of the market, imports of heavy trucks totalled 63 units last month, well down on the 85 landed in April and the 75 in May.
Used truck imports (over 3500 kg) total 393 units year-to-date.
