Gough Transport and its brands are supporting customers for essential services.
This includes TWL, Transpecs, Gough Materials Handling, Palfinger New Zealand and Gough Industrial Solutions.
The company has released the following statement:
At this stage all our team are well. We extend our warmest regards to your team and hope they are also well.
With the elevation in New Zealand to COVID-19 Alert Level Four on Wednesday 25 March, 11.59pm we have implemented best practices to maintain our essential services. All businesses that are not essential must close in NZ and this will be policed.
A Number of our business areas are Essential Services:
As critical providers to New Zealand’s Transport & Materials Handling industries – a number of our businesses are categorised as Essential. Our focus is to support these organisations to keep essential goods moving through the availability of essential parts, equipment and service.
The Essential Services we are currently maintaining are:
- TWL Parts Supply including our 3 warehouses
- Transpecs Braking Team
- Hyster Parts and Service
- Palfinger Parts and Service
Please note that other business areas are being maintained with staff working remotely at home as per Alert Level Four requirements.
For Warehouse transport interactions:
- Our three warehouses remain operational currently and we ask that our transport and logistics support be maintained by our providers. Please liaise directly with the warehouses via your usual contact or through our mainline (03) 983 2333.
- We’ll be maintaining inwards/outwards goods as best we can while ensuring maximum hygiene and social-distancing of 2 metres or more.
For local suppliers and contractors (non Warehouse):
- Please postpone or cancel all branch ‘sales’ or non-essential visits – discuss this with your contact. Branch doors will be locked off. Access is only for transport and materials handling essential services.
- Keep up the lines of communication with your usual business contact via electronic means.
- Reconfirm any pre-existing schedules with your Gough Transport NZ contact
- Let us know if you foresee any supply issues in the coming weeks or months
- Also let us know if there are any measures we can take now to mitigate any impacts
