Ministry of Transport staff remain scattered around Wellington after its head office in Statistics House was badly damaged in the November 14 earthquake.
A ministry spokesman told Autotalk that most of its staff are working from temporary office space supplied by several organisations it regularly engages with.
In the medium term, the ministry will continue to locate alongside Statistics New Zealand, which has leased space in the HP building on Gilmer Tce and the Westpac building on Lambton Quay.
It is too early to say whether the ministry will move back into Statistics House located near the city’s badly damaged Centreport, the spokesman says.
