Torque Automotive has become Queenstown’s first authorised Fuso parts and service dealership.
Owner Kevin Mallon established the business in 2011 to better service the needs of a rapidly growing region, as well as to embrace the challenge of running his own workshop.
The company holds the service contract for Swissport’s ground support equipment at Queenstown Airport, and also has expertise in working with a wide variety of machinery and equipment.
“We’ve focused on building strong relationships with our customers; we know the local landscape and operators appreciate good service with a smile,” says Mallon.
“We’re now looking forward to taking our offering to the next level by joining with Fuso.”
Fuso NZ managing director Keith Andrews says Mallon’s focus is on delivering better service for his customers aligns with Fuso NZ’s own ethos.
“We want to be sure that when new dealerships come on board, they will carry the flag for excellent customer service – the level of service that won us an award this year from Daimler Trucks Asia.
“We have high standards and Torque Automotive has ticked every box.”
Andrews says Fuso NZ has been looking to expand its service network in areas that have been historically under-served and particularly ones that are experiencing strong growth, such as Queenstown.
“We are pleased that we can now better service the needs of customers in the lower central South Island, which is seeing increasing commercial traffic as a result of the local population growth.”
