The Australian arm of Fuso Truck and Bus has signed a partnership with the Melbourne Rebels, and the brand will feature on the upper back of the Super 15 team’s jersey.
Melbourne Rebels MD Andrew Cox say a partnership with Fuso will complement the club’s strategic goal of growing the Rebels brand and following internationally, especially into the passionate Japanese Rugby market.
It furthers the Rebels ties to Japan after the club signing Kotaro Matsushima to the team, and it recently become the first Australian rugby team to launch a Japanese website.
The Melbourne Rebels are becoming the first Australian or New Zealand Super Rugby team to visit Japan when they take on the Sunwolves in Round Four in Tokyo at Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium on Saturday 19 March.
