The volume of sales in the fuel retailing industry rose 3.7% in the December 2015 quarter according to Statistics NZ.
This followes a 1.7% rise in the September 2015 quarter.
Prices (which are not seasonally adjusted) recorded a large fall of 6.4%, against a 0.6% rise for the previous period.
The value of sales in this industry rose 2.5% ($47 million) in the December 2015 quarter, after a 0.3% ($7 million) fall in September.
