A showcase of future trends and technologies, the show runs from September 20-27, and has racked up some impressive numbers.

With ‘driving the future’ the overall theme, a record 354 world premieres have been unveiled – with the 1904 exhibitors, from 46 countries, far exceeding the number seen at the last show in 2010.

On the first four exhibition days 148,000 people visited the show, more than 10,000 visitors ahead of the same period in 2010.

“The excellent figures for this show at ‘half time,’ proves that what is ‘driving the future’ is arousing tremendous interest – not only among politicians, but in particular, amongst the general public,” says Matthias Wissmann, president of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), which organises the show.

As well as exhibitors, the show also features a comprehensive list of seminars and demonstrations.

DieselTalk will present a ‘best of’ the show’ over the next few weeks.
