Ford New Zealand has launched a new Ford Pro Convertor programme designed to provide commercial and fleet customers with certified vehicle conversions tailored to specific industries.

The programme connects customers with Ford-approved conversion specialists capable of carrying out modifications for sectors including utilities, construction, emergency services, forestry and recreational overlanding.

At launch, the programme includes Camco Industries and Fleetline as approved Ford Pro Convertors, with additional partners expected to join later this year.

Ford New Zealand says the initiative is aimed at delivering customised vehicles without compromising safety, quality or reliability.

“Every business is unique, and our commercial customers require vehicles that are tailored precisely to their operational needs without compromising on safety, quality, or reliability,” Ford New Zealand managing director Annaliese Atina says.

“The Ford Pro Convertor program is designed to deliver exactly that—providing Kiwi businesses with bespoke, work-ready solutions and the ultimate peace of mind, so they can focus on what they do best.”

To gain Ford Pro Convertor status, modifiers must undergo an assessment by Ford engineers covering design, build quality and installation processes. Certified partners are approved for specific modification types and vehicle segments.

Ford says customers will benefit from specialist modifications backed by warranties aligned with the company’s new vehicle warranty.

“We have meticulously selected and certified our initial Ford Pro Convertors to ensure they meet our world-class standards,” Atina says.

“By working directly with these elite local specialists, we are delivering a streamlined, turnkey experience that eliminates the traditional aftermarket hassle, reduces downtime, and ensures every modification integrates seamlessly with our vehicles’ advanced safety and electrical systems.”

The programme complements Ford’s existing range of genuine and dealer-fit accessories by focusing on more complex and industry-specific vehicle conversions.

Ford says the initiative reinforces its commitment to commercial vehicle customers by helping improve vehicle uptime, reduce operating costs and increase productivity.
