The long awaited Holden Colorado will be at the Fieldays, with an early display vehicle on show. The new Colorado has a choice of a 110kW/350Nm 2.5 litre turbodiesel or a 132kW/470Nm 2.8 litre turbodiesel engine and an impressive 3500kg maximum tow rating and at least a one tonne payload capacity across the range.

The Colorado will be priced $38,400 for the DX 4×2 single cab, powered by a 2.5-litre turbo diesel engine with manual transmission, to $61,900 for the top-of-the-range 2.8 litre diesel LTZ Colorado 4×4 crew cab with automatic transmission. These are not, however, Fielday special prices.

Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi predicts the latest special-edition sport-specification Triton ChargerX will be the “value-for-money” star at Fieldays
The new double cab ChargerX is based on the GLX 4WD but Mitsubishi says it’s equipped to look and drive like a top-range GLS, yet at a much lower price: for the manual transmission version, $35,990 plus GST and on road costs.

Mitsubishi claims this is the best value price ever seen in New Zealand for a sport specification ute equipped with electronic stability and traction control and a full set of airbags.

The one-tonne-payload ChargerX produces 407Nm of torque from its 2.5 litre turbodiesel. It has front, side and curtain airbags, ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution, and tows a 3.0 tonne braked trailer.

Its sport spec instantly sets it apart. Chrome, silver and leather accents abound, there’s carpeting throughout, protected with ChargerX logo’d mats, bucket-type front seats, sport side steps and smart alloys. The four-speaker Bluetooth-integrated sound system has MP3 and USB inputs.

Nissan

Nissan is offering Fielddays deals on a wide range of Navara’s, with up to $11,505 off the Navara DX 4WD double cab.

Smaller deals are around the $5000 to $6000 off mark, with the ST-X 450 4WD double cab at $49,995, the ST 4WD double cab at $44,995, the RX 4WD double cab at $41,995, the RX 4WD king cab at $40,995, the RX 4WD king cab chassis at $39,995, the Navara ST 2WD double cab at $36,995, the RX 2WD double cab at $33,995, the DX 2WD double cab at $26,995, and the DX 2WD single cab chassis at $23,995.

Toyota

Toyota is running one Fieldays special for utes, on the Hilux 4WD manual diesel double cab for $49,995, while the Land Cruiser 70 single cab is on special for $62,990.

Ford

Ford has a number of Fielday specials, but since the Ranger was launched only recently the deals are centred on the car and SUV range of Fords.
