Details have been released on the 45th National Agricultural Fieldays expo, which runs for four days over June 12 – 15 at the Mystery Creek Events Centre in Hamilton.
The four-day event is a huge part of the machinery and equipment sales market, with cars and trucks also sold in significant volumes.
‘Getting down to business in the global economy’ is the theme and will highlight New Zealand’s unique position as an innovative Agribusiness driven economy, and capitalising on the growing international demand for food, protein, and agricultural expertise.
A number of improvements and site redevelopments are taking place, and a spokesperson for the event says newly forged relationships with organisations in India and China will create new opportunities for exhibitors to showcase products and services on a global stage.
Site allocation will take place from 1 December 2012; to date there has been healthy interest with 72% of all agribusiness sites reserved for Fieldays 2013.
There will be a new Mystery Creek Events Centre headquarters at the main entrance, while six different areas have been renovated to improve and increase pedestrian and create an additional 2000 square metres of exhibiting space.
The Innovation Centre has grown and developed into a greenhouse for local innovations; fostering initiatives and creating a platform for inventors to take the next step; be it from back yard invention to market ready production, or from developed product to international export item.
The event will see 1000 exhibitors on 1400 sites over 40 hectares, the 2012 event attracted over 125,000 visitors.
