EROAD’s annual Fleet Day is promising to be “bigger and better” this year with an expansion to the grounds of Mystery Creek in Hamilton.
Set to kick off on August 7, the event is expected to draw over 1000 key decision-makers from across the fleet industry, including fleet managers, health and safety professionals, HR, operations, logistics executives, and more.
With support from major sponsor Waikato Regional Council, it will feature an impressive line-up of key speakers headlined by former New Zealand Prime Minister Sir John Key.
Around 15 other speakers will take to the stage, including professional rally driver Harry Bates and PwC sustainability, climate, and nature partner Andrew Jamieson. Insights will focus on fleet safety, sustainability, and efficiency.
EROAD Fleet Day has steadily grown since its inception with its 2012 event. Last year at Hamilton’s Claudelands Events Centre the event attracted more than 800 attendees.
This year’s move to Mystery Creek reflects the event’s growth and increasing demand within the industry, EROAD says.
The agenda is packed with content tailored to both light and heavy fleet operators. Two dedicated stages will run concurrently, offering attendees the flexibility to choose sessions that best match their interests.

Other speakers on the day include Steven Jones, road policing supervisor for North Western Waikato, Jonathan Parker, chief executive of Thundergrid, and Soumya Puri, senior product manager at EROAD.
An addition to this year’s programme is the introduction of two panel discussions focusing on fleet sustainability and safety. The panels aim to provide deep dives into these critical areas, offering attendees actionable insights and strategies.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore the latest advancements in fleet technology, with over 70 exhibitors showcasing light and heavy fleet models and innovative solutions.
One of the highlights will be a vehicle crash simulation designed to illustrate the impact of speed, comparing scenarios at 80 km/h and 120 km/h.
Interactive demonstrations and a dedicated networking area will further enhance the experience, allowing industry professionals to connect and share knowledge.
EROAD says its dedication to reducing the transport sector’s carbon footprint and promoting safer, more sustainable roads is a cornerstone of Fleet Day.
Last year’s event emphasised innovative vehicle technology, featuring the largest line-up of electric trucks ever displayed in New Zealand.
