DIESELtalk is pleased to announce that EROAD, New Zealand’s leading transport technology provider is our latest Foundation Sponsor.
EROAD, a pioneer in providing advanced GPS based transport technology solutions, is led by chief executive Steven Newman, co-founder of Navman, and commercial director, Peter Batcheler.
Founded in 2000 by infrastructure economist, Brian Michie, EROAD has been instrumental in identifying commercial opportunities and enhancements around the collection of heavy transport road user charges.
Newman joined EROAD in 2007, and has led the transformation of EROAD into a white-hot knowledge-based business while installing a strong, high level management team to oversee great growth and customer acquisition.
DIESELtalk business manager Chris Merlini is delighted to be working with the new sponsors: “EROAD demonstrate the very best of New Zealand; it’s a people business, and their technology is fundamentally changing the way transport operators do business, reducing operating costs and providing deep information around their customers’ operations – that’s a very compelling proposition to market and I’m thrilled to have them on board as Foundation Sponsor.”
The sentiment is echoed by Steven Newman: “EROAD has won the New Zealand HiTec Awards for Best Product and Best Service: and this reflects our commitment to cost-effective web based technology. It is therefore logical that we join with DIESELtalk to efficiently deliver transport technology information via the web to our industry.”
