EROAD drives greater safety and efficiency with FleetPartners

fleetpartners4Promoting safe driving within businesses and delivering a system of enhanced fleet and asset management is the result of a new partnership between commercial fleet operator FleetPartners and NZTA approved technology provider EROAD.

When the Health and Safety at Work Act comes into effect on 4 April 2016, the two partners say it is critical that businesses/entities have the best tools in place to ensure efficient compliance with the new regulations.

“Managing and controlling vehicle maintenance and repairs, and providing fleet vehicles which are always well maintained and safe, should be a given”, says FleetPartners marketing manager Gail McNamara.

“However, safe driving also plays a key role in compliance with health and safety, insurance, legal and ACC obligations,” she says.

EROAD’s in-vehicle technology and services support compliance by encouraging continuous improvement and rewarding safe driving.

The EROAD system uses gamification to promote safe driving, tracking performance over time, and providing individual feedback that highlights positive driving behaviour, and suggests areas for improvement.

“One of the main advantages this partnership provides for both fleet managed and lease customers is access to an integrated solution, included as part of their lease contract,” says McNamara.

”Customised reporting provides 24/7 access to information about utilisation, vehicle and driver safety, compliance and RUC management, that will assist with adherence to the stringent compliance requirements associated with managing a vehicle fleet,” she says.

“We’re excited to be partnering with a leader in the fleet leasing and management space,” says EROAD chief executive officer Steven Newman.

“We already have a common customer base and we look forward to delivering shared benefits to those customers to enable more efficient compliance with the new health and safety regulations,” he says.
