Vehicles that need new refrigerant for air conditioning units now have a more environmentally friendly alternative.
BOC Gases now has available stock of the refrigerant HFO1234yf, which has been approved by the Environmental Protection Authority, VIA reports.
This is the refrigerant now being used in many new European vehicles and is expected to replace R134a, which has previously been assessed as having a negative impact on the environment.
The product code to quote when ordering from BOC is 160HFO1234YfM and costs $1575 + levies/GST.
