Ebbett Volkswagen is part of the Ebbett Group. Established in 1928, the Ebbett Group now has 13 franchises and 14 dealerships nationwide.

Dealer principal Richard van den Engel thanked the company’s customers for their loyalty and support.

“To achieve Dealer of the Year you’ve got to have all departments firing on all cylinders, all year,” says van den Engel.

“There are 16 dealers in the network, so it’s no small achievement to be named top dealer against a large pack with some seriously competitive teams,” he says.

The gala event, held at St Matthews-in-the-city, Auckland on March 22 celebrated 21 winners within the Volkswagen retail network across a range of departments including parts, service, passenger sales and commercial sales.

The dealer of the year Awards is a global programme focusing on top-line results, quality and delivery of brand excellence.

Volkswagen New Zealand general manager Tom Ruddenklau says that the event was an opportunity to celebrate not only success, but the delivery of the Volkswagen brand in the community.

“It is our dealer teams who make the difference and transform our business from being a company who delivers cars to a company who brings to life a customer relationship with the Volkswagen Brand.” says Ruddenklau.
