Eamon O’Connor, founding director of Tauranga-based O’Connor Warren Insurance Brokers, has been named New Zealand’s top Elite Broker for the second consecutive year in the 2026 Insurance Business Elite Brokers list.
The annual list recognises high-performing insurance brokers across Australia and New Zealand following an independently verified assessment conducted by Insurance Business’ Intelligence Unit.
O’Connor says the recognition reflects the company’s continued growth and client performance during a softer market cycle and broader economic uncertainty.
“This recognition belongs to our entire team,” O’Connor says.

The back-to-back number one ranking reflects both strong commercial performance and the brokerage’s focus on collaboration, trust and client service, he says.
The brokerage, which specialises in transport and trucking insurance, has more than 30 years of industry experience and provides solutions to businesses and individuals across New Zealand.
“Being named New Zealand’s number one Elite Broker for a second year is rewarding, but what I’m most proud of is the consistency of our people and the standards they bring to work every day,” O’Connor says.
The company says the latest recognition further strengthens its position in the market.
