Fonterra’s announcement yesterday of a higher dairy payout has seen a positive reaction from the New Zealand dollar.
The NZD rose to 63.5 US cents this morning, up from 62.9 US cents yesterday. It was also up by the same margin against the Euro, and rose 1.5 cents against the Australian dollar.
It was, however, unchanged against the Yen at 76.27.
