DHL Express is set to double the size of its existing facility at Auckland Airport.
The expansion, which is due to be completed in December 2015, will see DHL’s warehouse and office facility increase from 2,500 square metres to 5,000 square metres.
New Zealand country manager Tim Baxter, says the expansion, which will see the existing DHL Express warehouse almost double in size, will allow shipments to be processed twice as fast and up to 20 new jobs will be created in the process.
DHL’s Supply Chain division has also recently moved into a purpose built 12,000 square metres warehouse at The Landing at Auckland Airport and has a further 10,000 square metres of existing facilities located within the Airport’s Business District.
