The departure of Linfox International Group chief executive Gabby Costigan at the end of June is creating a senior leadership team reshuffle at the transport and logistics operator.
Linfox executive chairman, Peter Fox, announced the promotion of five executives to key leadership positions. All are appointed from within the company.
Greg Thomas is replacing Costigan as Linfox International Group chief executive officer; Kylie Fraser is the new president of FMCG, and Matt Sheridan is the new BevChain chief executive officer.
Linfox Australia and New Zealand has a new chief operating officer Mark Mazurek.
Linfox Intermodal (formerly Linehaul) has a new president Ian Strachan.
“These changes will ensure Linfox continues its strong growth and is well positioned to adapt to the evolving needs of our customers,” says Fox.
Thomas was formerly the FMCG president, appointed in 2014. He will also maintain responsibility for Linfox’s healthcare portfolio as Director, Linfox Healthcare.
He joined Linfox in 1995 and has held several financial and operational roles in the Resources & Industrial and FMCG business units.
Thomas led the development of Linfox’s eCommerce and fulfilment strategy which is set to change the way Linfox does business by broadening the customer base and offering customers new channels to market.
He joins the business in Asia with previous experience managing the logistics portfolios for the major customers in Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong in his FMCG role.
“He will build on the strong business leadership and strategic direction of Gabby Costigan,” says Fox.
“I thank Gabby for her significant contribution to LIG. In her three years in the role, Gabby has been diligent in her dealings with our business and a staunch supporter for Linfox across the region,” he says.
Thomas is relocating to Bangkok.
Former BevChain chief executive officer Kylie Fraser, replaces Thomas as FMCG president, from July 1.
“Kylie has an impressive logistics career spanning more than 20 years. Kylie has led BevChain for six years. In her time as CEO, BevChain has doubled its revenue while continuing to deliver outstanding supply chain solutions for its customers,” says Fox.
Taking over from Fraser, Matt Sheridan is the new BevChain chief executive officer from July 1.
“Matt has strong experience in the beverage supply chain. His experience overseeing significant national contracts has provided a firm understanding of the demands of manufacturers and retailers,” says Fox.
Mark Mazurek is the new Linfox Logistics Australia and New Zealand chief operating offer from July 1.
He will continue to report directly to Linfox CEO, Annette Carey.
“In this newly created role, Mark will be responsible for the day to day running of Linfox Logistics, ensuring that every part of the business is performing at its peak and delivering the best possible service to our customers,” says Fox.
Mazurek led the Linehaul team for six years. He joined Linfox in 2006 as Wood, Packaging, Print Solutions and Events vice president with responsibility for some of Linfox’s largest customers. He acceded to the Linehaul team in early 2010 as vice president before being appointed the president in 2011.
Ian Strachan is the Linfox Intermodal president from July 1. Linehaul has been renamed ‘Linfox Intermodal’ to better reflect the size and scope of the team’s work.
“As President Linfox Intermodal, Ian will oversee the provision of interstate transport by road, rail and sea,” says Fox.
