Daimler Truck Financial Services (DTFS) has officially launched in New Zealand, giving local transport operators a dedicated finance provider integrated across the Daimler Truck ecosystem.
DTFS is the global financial services arm for Daimler Truck brands, including Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Freightliner and Fuso. The company says its entry into New Zealand marks a significant milestone, offering operators specialised funding that supports the full lifecycle of a commercial vehicle.
The company says it positions itself with a customer-centric approach, offering fast, innovate and customised solutions.
DTFS offers streamlined application and approval processes aimed at getting customers on the road faster, including rapid credit decisions and a “fast track” finance programme for eligible business customers. It will also provide a suite of products designed for the transport sector’s changing needs, including financing options that can support the shift to electric trucks and emerging technologies.
Tailored solutions will be available for all operator sizes, from single-truck businesses to large fleets.
“We are very excited to be entering the New Zealand market,” Daimler Truck Financial Services Australia managing director and chief executive Craig Cubitt says.
“DTFS is in New Zealand to be a true business partner for our dealers and customers by offering personalised, dedicated commercial vehicle finance solutions.
“Our mission is to make the financing process as straightforward and efficient as possible, so our customers can focus on what they do best: keeping New Zealand moving,” Cubitt says.
Business customers can access the full DTFS product range through authorised Daimler Truck dealers across the country.
Keith Andrews Trucks sales and marketing general manager Torben Freer says the partnership strengthens the offering available to operators.
“With nationwide sales and aftersales support across Daimler Truck brands: Fuso, Mercedes-Benz, and Freightliner, this partnership brings together sales, service, and finance under one roof — a complete solution for operators of all sizes,” he says.
“DTFS brings a forward-thinking approach to finance — designed to grow with customers and support them at every stage of their journey and this represents a major step forward for New Zealand’s transport sector,” Freer says.
