Cummins will debut its fully integrated heavy-duty powertrain for the first time in Australia at the 2025 Brisbane Truck Show, bringing together engine, transmission, axles and brakes in one system aimed at improving performance, efficiency and uptime.

At the centre of its display will be the complete powertrain solution, combining the X15 Euro 6 engine, Eaton Cummins Endurant 18-speed transmission, and Meritor MT21-165GP axle and braking systems.

“This is the future of powertrain performance on display,” says Sean McLean, Director and General Manager of On-Highway Business for Cummins South Pacific.

“Visitors will see the real-world benefits of an integrated solution—from reduced friction points and simplified serviceability to greater fuel economy.

“This approach isn’t just about performance—it’s about future-proofing our customers’ investments.

“By combining our deep technical heritage with smart, connected systems, Cummins is helping the industry transition to smarter, cleaner power solutions,” McLean says.

The X15D engine, also on show, delivers 660hp and 2360 lb-ft of torque, while weighing 225kg less than previous models—an advantage in cabover applications by reducing front axle tare weight.

“Cummins has taken internal combustion to the next level with the X15D,” McLean says.

“It delivers the highest-ever outputs for a Cummins truck engine while setting new standards for fuel efficiency at ultra-low emissions levels.

“It is proof that combustion engine technology still has room to grow in both performance and sustainability.”

The engine is part of Cummins’ HELM platform (Higher Efficiency, Lower Emissions, Multiple Fuels), which supports a common architecture across diesel, natural gas and hydrogen variants.

HELM engines allow customers to shift between fuel technologies with minimal disruption, sharing a common footprint and installation process.

The Cummins stand will also highlight Meritor’s locally engineered drivetrains, the Endurant XD Pro transmission, and a section dedicated to the company’s award-winning apprenticeship and career pathways.

“Our people are at the heart of our success,” said Tracy Moore, Talent Acquisition Lead Australia.

“At Cummins, we are not only powering vehicles—we’re powering careers, communities, and a sustainable future.”

Cummins will be located at stand 94 at the Brisbane Truck Show from May 15 to 18 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
