Container depot operator ContainerCo is seeking advice as growth in shipping volumes continues.
The company has appointed investment banker Cameron Partners to advise on its strategic growth options off the back of compounded growth in volumes of 4.3% over the last five years.
The company resulted from a merger of container depot businesses by NZL Group in 2013 to become New Zealand’s largest independent container depot storage business.
It has steadily grown and in financial year 2016 it reported increased revenue of $43 million up from $33.8 million in 2014.
Since 2012, 40-foot and 20-foot container volumes entering and leaving New Zealand have grown by 16% and eight percent respectively.
The increase in container volumes is putting pressure on port facilities, creating demand for standalone container storage and repair depots.
