Isuzu Truck reports the winner of its technicians guild examination for 2014 is Transport Diesel & Marine employee Ashley Bennellick.
Bennellick took first place in the competition for the second consecutive year, followed by Mark Broadbent representing Auckland Truck Specialists, and Mark Van Groenedaal from Blackwells Commercial.
Isuzu after sales manager Trevor Moreland says there are many benefits to competing in the Isuzu Truck technicians guild exam.
“There was some close competition this year with a few battles taking place in a number of dealerships, and the learning for both the technicians and dealerships were immense,” says Moreland.
“Competently trained Technicians make for a more profitable service department and our Isuzu Truck customers benefit from the expertise which only adds to the overall dealership experience.”
The programme consists of a series of six web based publications covering the various mechanical and accessory components of the Isuzu truck range sold in NZ.
Three of the publications contain an online examination containing 15 questions which the technicians can complete in their own time.
The deciding component of the competition is a 50 question theory examination carried out under strict conditions.
This tests the technicians understanding of the publications they have received during the year. There are also three tie-breaker questions which are used should technicians achieve the same marks for the competition.
