Commercial vehicle imports are up slightly in July, NZ Customs motor vehicle statistics show.
The total number of truck and van imports for the month was 4832 units compared with 4567 in June.
The total number of truck and van imports for the year to date is 30,558 units.
A total of 3631 imports of new trucks and vans under 3500kg were recorded for July compared with 3353 the previous month.
A total of 425 new truck imports over 3500kg were recorded in July compared with 423 the previous month.
A total of 682 imports of used trucks and vans under 3500kg were recorded for July compared with 683 the previous month.
A total of 94 used truck imports over 3500kg were recorded in July compared with 108 the previous month.
The total number of bus and coach imports is down for July with 179 units compared with 211 the previous month.
The total number of all vehicle imports, including new and used cars, dropped in July to 27,560 units compared with 31,313 units the previous month.
