Registrations of used imported commercials finished solidly in December 2015 with a total of 1725 units, a 24% increase over 2014’s tally of 1412.
Light trucks dominated the used registration numbers in 2015, reflecting the buyers preference for used vehicles within this segment.
Toyota was the used import market leader with 456 registrations for 2015 as opposed to 344 in the previous corresponding period.
This finish was strong despite Toyota’s December 2015 tally being down on last year with 33 registrations as opposed to 45. Isuzu lead the month with 42 registrations, a vast improvement on 26 in the previous corresponding period.
Isuzu came second in the overall used import registrations tally with 332 for 2015 up from 311 in 2014. Hino was third with 227 registrations in 2015 as opposed to 163 in 2014.
Nissan UD registered 146 used trucks in 2015, two down from 2014.
