Coda expansion powers up Palmy

JonoNaylorMPCoda Group’s singular focus on freight efficiency and its upgraded Savill Drive hub in Auckland is giving Palmerston North a welcome boost.

It will triple the rail freight capacity to Palmerston North with the rail expansion at Savill Drive – which Coda says will move at least 8000 truckloads each year.

National MP Jono Naylor says the added capacity is underlining Palmerston North’s reputation as key step in the North Island transport chain.

“This is great news for Palmerston North and reinforces that our city has a strong reputation as a logistics hub for the lower North Island,” says Naylor.

“This expansion will further link our city with the main ports of New Zealand and capitalise on our rail and road networks.

“I have always been an advocate for Palmerston North being a transport hub. As a city we must play to our strengths. With one million New Zealanders living within two hours of Palmerston North, we are a logical hub for logistics.”
