Clive Jones has been appointed to the role of vice president sales for Volvo Trucks Australia, New Zealand and Oceania.
He starts the Brisbane-based position in August and replaces Mitch Peden who moves to the role of managing director Volvo Malaysia.
Jones has been in his current position, MTD Trucks national sales manager for Volvo Trucks and Bus, for nine years.
Volvo has been the focus of his career starting from the early days when he was driving a Volvo FH up and down the highways of New Zealand.
He also worked with Titan Plant Services and has more than 20 years in the New Zealand transport industry.
MTD Trucks general manager Murray Sowerby says Jones’ professionalism, product knowledge and customer service is second to none and he will be greatly missed by customers and the team.
“We would like to thank Clive for his dedication and commitment to our company and the Volvo brand over this period.”
Jones will still have involvement in the New Zealand business as part of the territory is covered in the new role.
A replacement for Jones is yet to be announced.
