Owner/manager Greg McQuaid says that provided a commercial vehicle can fit through the entrance way then it can be cleaned, as the operation uses a fully automated high pressure brush wash for the body, while the truck cabs are cleaned by hand to avoid any damage to accessories such as stone guards as well as exterior mirrors, and radio aerials.

McQuaid says there has been a variety of vehicles through for cleaning including horse trucks, B-Trains, and small delivery vehicles. The operation can process up to 6 vehicles an hour.

“Drivers can connect with us through CB radio on channel 11 to find out where we are and how quickly we could turn their truck around,” says McQuaid.

Future services to be offered to the transport industry include steam cleaning by appointment, and Clean Co can also carry out a full sanitisation service for any vehicles which are used to transport food and perishable items.

Both cleaning lanes at the Hamilton facility are operational, and they are open from 6am in the morning until 7pm in the evening, with a late night operation to 10pm on a Friday.

However, with the long weekend looming, McQuaid says the wash lanes will be open till 9pm on Thursday April 2 so that operators and drivers can have their vehicles cleaned ahead of the long holiday weekend to make sure they are shiny and presentable.

Customers can also make themselves shiny and presentable as there are showers available on site near the Clean Co reception lounge and ‘smoko’ room.
