Clark Equipment New Zealand has announced that it will be expanding its Clark materials handling business in New Zealand – and make it the centre for distribution into the Pacific Islands.
The company is forecasting consistent growth and plans to expand operations to meet increased demand and opportunities.
A number of key appointments to accelerate growth have been made:
Mark Grover will be taking over as general manager of the expanded New Zealand operation.
Clint Radovancich will be the manager in the South Island. Ross Easton will be focused on the Omega heavy truck product.
Warrick Reid has taken on a new role as business manager in the Clark forklift division.
Expansion in New Zealand and into the Pacific Islands is the next step in Clark’s regional growth strategy. In 2012, Clark established a facility in Singapore and a dealer network through Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia and Sri Lanka.
CEO, Robert Hammond says: “Clark Equipment New Zealand’s proximity and close cultural links to the Pacific Region provides a strong base to service those markets.
“New Zealand is a focus market for Clark. We have had a long history in New Zealand and the region, centred particularly in the stevedoring, heavy industry and transport sectors. Clark will now be expanding into more of the industrial and commercial growth markets.
“Clark’s forklift range has widened from our range of gas and diesel-powered trucks with a new generation of electric trucks and warehousing equipment meeting the needs of the broader industry.
“The Clark difference is how we look after our customers. We offer a more personal, innovative approach with service, fleet management and financing arrangements tailored to customer needs. We are not the biggest in the industry, but we focus on our customers and strive to give them the individual attention and service that they need.
“This is an exciting time for Clark in New Zealand as we focus on real growth opportunities and build great working relationships.”
Clark Equipment has also been appointed the national distributor within Australia and New Zealand for FINN, providing sales and support for their hydro-seeders, bark blowers, straw blowers, and MTS equipment. FINN adds to Clark Equipment’s portfolio of equipment for the construction, infrastructure, agricultural, mining, materials handling and logistics sectors of our economy.
FINN is a USA based manufacturer of landscape erosion control equipment, established in 1953, that continues to help landscapers and contractors achieve more productivity while cutting labour and material costs.
