Civil Contractors New Zealand (CCNZ) chief executive Jeremy Sole is stepping down on December 19, after more than five years at the helm.
He was previously the chief executive of the New Zealand Contractors’ Federation which was merged with Roading New Zealand last August to form CCNZ.
Sole played a role in many industry initiatives, such as the formation of the construction safety council, he served on the road maintenance task force, and also the Ministry of local Government’s infrastructure efficiency expert advisory group.
“During my tenure we have been able to successfully advocate on behalf of the industry throughout the economic downturn, and be part of some of the most progressive changes in terms of health and safety in New Zealand’s history,” says Sole.
He was also the acting managing director of Contrafed publishing group, of which CCNZ is a major shareholder, and was instrumental in the re-establishment of Local Government magazine.
Sole says now that the integration and rebranding of CCNZ is completed, with a strong and effective team in place, that it is a good time for him to seek new challenges.
