City rail loop (CRL) contractor WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff is appointing John Seward as its New Zealand geotechnics and tunnels team manager.
Seward is a skilled geotechnical engineer with experience in the transport, property, and power markets.
WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff executive Doug Graham says Seward’s appointment aligns with the company’s strategic growth in New Zealand.
” Seward’s experience in geotechnics, engineering geology, and geoenvironmental engineering complements our NZ-based team,” says Graham.
“He has worked on high and low-rise residential developments, city centre regeneration, healthcare, and education, geothermal and hydropower projects, mine infrastructure, railway and roading infrastructure and numerous geotechnical site investigations,” says Graham.
Seward has a strong background leading projects involving building geotechnics, reinforced earth, slope stability assessment, modeling and remediation according to WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff.
“His emphasis on technically-sound geotechnical solutions will be invaluable to our clients, our team and it will strengthen our offering for the City Rail Loop,” says Graham.
Seward started in the Auckland office on November 28.
