Supply chain management company CEVA Logistics is appointing Carlos Velez-Rodriguez as its Australia and New Zealand managing director, effective immediately.
Based in Melbourne, Velez-Rodriguez is reporting to the company’s chief executive officer, Xavier Urbain.
Velez-Rodriguez joins CEVA from FM Logistic where he was Central Europe group managing director for the last decade leading a team of more than 5,000 individuals.
CEVA says Velez-Rodriguez has a proven track record in the logistics sector and has held many commercial roles at companies in Europe, the USA and Latin America. Born in Colombia, he is an Austrian citizen.
“His extensive industry knowledge, experience in leading large organisations and his collaborative style make him an excellent successor for this critical role in this important market,” says Xavier Urbain.
