CAL Isuzu has revamped its Tauranga dealership with the addition of a COF inspection lane and pit along with other extensions.
The site, located at 138 Totara Street, Mt Maunganui, is among seven North Island locations for CAL Isuzu and it now offers a full suite of new truck sales, parts and service and engineering and electrical service.
A COF inspection lane and pit was added to one of the drive through lanes and VTNZ will man the lane as required. Alterations to the site also included two extra service bays.
CAL Isuzu Tauranga dealer principal Steve Hoyne says the upgrades will be a real asset to the business going forward as demands on VTNZ Mount Maunganui’s own site increases.
“This will enable CAL Isuzu Tauranga to offer the one-stop service that many customers are now seeking.
“We can now offer COF inspections to complement our full servicing, engineering and electrical services,” Hoyne says.

The new site has also enabled the dealership to extend its parts department and carry a greater range of parts to be able to offer customers a quicker turn around.
On top of workshop extensions the staff have a beautiful new cafeteria and an outdoor area in which to enjoy the best that the Bay of Plenty has to offer, he says.
The site has 22 staff in total including seven technicians and a foreman and service manager.
Hoyne says the expansion was necessary as demand for parts and service has been growing at the site.
“We have seen a big increase in demand from fleet and retail customers alike. The demand in all sectors of the business has ramped up far quicker than anyone would have expected post-Covid,” he says.
