In partnership with New World Supermarkets, the Cadbury Christmas truck is kicking off on a nationwide good tidings tour on December 1.
Ahead of the truck’s arrival at each participating store, New World, and Cadbury are encouraging customers to look out for the donation trolleys in-store to gift non-perishable food items, toys and other treats for local families spending time in hospital this festive season.
“Partnering with New World to collect donations for those spending time in a hospital is a great way for us to harness the Christmas spirit,” says the head of Cadbury New Zealand James Kane.
“We thank everyone who gifts a present to those in need of some extra cheer and are very excited to be surprising shoppers as we take our Christmas celebration around the country,” says Kane.
The two companies are gifting these generous community donations bringing the joy of Christmas to those deserving families at an otherwise stressful time.
The truck will be on the road from December 1 to 24 stopping at various local New Worlds from Invercargill to Whangarei sharing the joy of Christmas with shoppers busy preparing for festivities.
“We know it’ll make all the difference to children and their families in Starship and other hospitals around the country,” says Foodstuffs NZ Ltd managing director Steve Anderson.
“Following the earthquakes and extreme weather events of the last few days, this comes at a time when many New Zealanders are in need of a bit of a lift,” he says.
