The distributor of Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck and Bus and Dennis Eagle trucks has decided not to be an exhibitor at the 2017 Brisbane Truck Show preferring instead to focus on direct-to-customer events.
Penske Commercial Vehicles says it recently advised the Heavy Vehicle Industry Association (HVIA) of its decision to not take part in the Brisbane event.
“We have decided to take a more direct and strategic approach in engaging our customers in the context of a re-energised marketing strategy in 2017,” says Penske Transportation Group International marketing general manager Kimberley Ruddock.
“Throughout 2016 we have heavily invested in direct-to-customer events held both centrally and through our retail network, which has proven to be very successful for us. This approach is also in keeping with Penske’s customer first ethos.”
“We have lots of exciting products to deliver to our clients, as well as upcoming events such as the 50th anniversary of the Western Star brand. We will continue to work very closely with our retail network to roll this strategy out through 2017,” says Ruddock.
Ruddock says the business will continue to support the HVIA and it remains a member of the Association.
