Road safety charity Brake is inviting organisations with employees who drive for work to take part in its annual fleet safety survey.

The survey will focus on organisations’ policies and procedures regarding protecting vulnerable road users, which include pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists.

Taking part in the fleet safety survey is free and anonymous.

All organisations that take part will receive a free copy of the survey report and results.

Brake’s 2017 survey about managing driver distraction caused by mobile phones and other technology was completed by more than 350 organisations operating fleets of various sizes and types.

Brake’s New Zealand director Caroline Perry says all fleets have responsibility and a duty of care to protect those most vulnerable on our roads.

“The survey provides organisations with a great opportunity to benchmark themselves against industry safety standards. I would encourage any organisations with at-work drivers to take 15 minutes out of their day to complete the survey.”

Complete the 15 minute fleet safety survey online at (this link) by September 24.

Brake is an international road safety charity, with its New Zealand division promoting road safety and campaigns against the carnage on New Zealand roads.

It also fundraises to improve support for families whose loved ones have died or been injured in road crashes.
