“We’re constantly looking at new ways to help our customers tap into faster ways to pay and we’ve teamed up with Google to help us deliver that,” says Boffa.

“Android Pay gives our customers another convenient way to pay with their mobile devices,” she says

Google’s Pali Bhat says Google is bringing the simplicity and security of mobile payments to BP customers with Android Pay.

“Instead of sifting through your wallet for plastic cards, Android Pay lets you make contactless payments with a swift tap of your Android smartphone,” he says.

Android Pay is a secure, mobile payments system that works with Android devices running KitKat (4.4) or higher and is available across BP’s entire New Zealand network.
