New Zealand’s “ultimate trucking weekend” returns with the TMC Trailers Trucking Industry Show in Christchurch on March 20 and 21.
Exhibitor sites are filling fast at the Canterbury Agricultural Park, Christchurch, with bookings still open.

Friday, March 20, has the Trade Day, Transport Careers 2020, TR Group NZ Truck Driving Championships, and the Exhibitor/Early Bird Show & Shine function.
TR Group has teamed with the NZ Trucking Association and Road Transport Forum NZ to restart the driving championships in 2020, heats running on March 20 and the finals on March 21.
Six categories include the VTNZ Woman Driver of the Year.
A public open day is on Saturday, March 21, which also sees the UDC Show & Shine with more than 40 prize categories, industry competitions, and the Teletrac Navman Industry Show and Awards Ceremony.
The Mimico 2020 Excavator Competition is on March 21 as well, with Kobelco providing a week-long trip to Japan, including Kobelco factory tours. The winner also receives a trophy and $1000 prize money with the runner-up getting $500.
Similar prize money is offered in the Hyundai Material Handling 2020 Forklift Competition and the 2020 Tyre-technicians competition.
Last year, 350 trucks and more than 70 trade exhibits and displays get 23,000 visitors entertained.
All show proceeds are donated to charity and expected to better the $22,000 raised in 2018.
