New Zealand’s largest ever gathering of Kenworth trucks is set to take place in Tauranga on September 13, 2014.
Distributor Southpac Trucks has announced that it will join Kenworth enthusiasts from around the country at ASB Baypark, Tauranga, to commemorate the 1964 arrival of New Zealand’s first KWs, 50 years ago.
“There are approximately 2500 KWs on the roads today and 169 are from pre-1980 so we have decided to make it possible for Kenworth owners and drivers to gather and celebrate the anniversary,” says Richard Smart, general sales manager for Southpac Trucks. “We chose Tauranga because of its central location and the quality of the venue.
“ASB Baypark is the ideal place for the hundreds of Kenworths expected to turn up on the day.”
