Isuzu New Zealand is appointing David Ballantyne as its new national sales manager, replacing Micheal Doeg who became the new general manager for Hino Distributors.
“David is well known in the industry, as his entire career has been in heavy diesel-powered commercial vehicles and earth moving equipment,” says Isuzu New Zealand general manager Colin Muir.
“He started in field service roles, progressed into sales then senior management positions including general manager. He brings with him an absolute wealth of knowledge, experience as well as industry contacts,” says Muir.
In his most recent role, Ballantyne was the Mercedes-Benz Truck and Bus senior manager for sales and service.
“David has a particular skillset which will be perfect for this new role,” says Muir.
“He will be instrumental in further evolving the Isuzu Distribution and Sales Network,” he says.
“His operational responsibilities will also include introducing new technologies, as well as developing the product portfolio to futureproof the Isuzu Brand,” says Muir
Ballantyne commences his new role in mid-September.
