Auckland Vehicle Rentals has announced an expansion of its Auckland truck hire and cargo van service, following lessons learned from supporting supermarkets during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The move aims to enhance capacity to provide “reliable and flexible truck rentals” for businesses across New Zealand, the company says.
During the pandemic, Auckland Vehicle Rentals played a crucial role by providing rental trucks to help supermarkets meet the surge in demand for contactless grocery deliveries. The company says adaptable rental options proved vital during the period.
In response to growing demand, the company says it’s expanding its fleet with new, high-quality vehicles, including cargo vans and trucks equipped with advanced safety features.
“Each new vehicle in the expanded fleet will undergo rigorous inspections and regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance. The company continues to prioritise the safety of its customers and staff by adhering to stringent sanitisation protocols, a practice that became paramount during the pandemic,” it says.
With the expanded fleet, Auckland Vehicle Rentals aims to better support businesses of all sizes, offering flexible rental terms to meet diverse needs, from supermarkets requiring additional trucks for peak periods to small businesses needing temporary replacements, the company says.
Support for Courier Companies
The firm is also enhancing its support for courier companies and independent couriers by offering flexible cargo van hire options, it says.
The company provides both long-term and short-term rentals to address the logistical challenges faced by couriers, such as fluctuating demand and vehicle maintenance.
“This flexibility allows courier companies to manage their fleets efficiently without the long-term commitment of purchasing new vehicles,” it says.
Independent couriers benefit from temporary replacements and the ability to maintain service levels without interruption.
Auckland Vehicle Rentals, located in New Lynn and Albany, offers a diverse fleet of cars, vans, trucks, and specialty vehicles.
