A 23-year-old Port of Auckland worker was seriously injured after the straddle truck he was driving tipped over.
The accident happened around 3.45am on Monday with police and St John Ambulance called to the scene.
Port of Auckland acting chief executive Wayne Thompson says the cause of the incident is being investigated.
“Our primary concern is for the welfare of our colleague and we are doing everything we can to look after him and his whānau, friends and colleagues,” Thompson says.
