New light commercial vehicle arrivals (under 3500kg) in August tallied 2978 units, the third highest total number to cross New Zealand wharves in the first eight months of the year.
Year to date 2101 new heavy commercial vehicles (over 3500kg) have arrived while 21,385 new light commercial vehicles (under 3500kg) have crossed the wharves.
Used heavy commercial vehicles (over 3500kg) saw 86 units arrive in August, one more than July.
Used light commercial vehicles (under 3500kg) dipped slightly to 492 units in August from 514 units in July.
Year to date used heavy commercials (over 3500kg) tally 660 units, and used light commercials (under 3500kg) tally 3483 units.
