A new generation of Volvo articulated haulers has arrived in New Zealand, delivering a “leap forward in safety, productivity and operator comfort”.
TDX, the exclusive New Zealand dealer for Volvo Construction Equipment, is introducing the upgraded range, with several models already in stock and more expected by the end of the year for the country’s quarrying, infrastructure and earthmoving sectors.
“This new line-up really shows Volvo’s commitment to evolution,” TDX national Volvo product manager Andrew Falloon says.
“We’ve seen how well the G-series has performed in New Zealand since 2016. These new machines push things even further in terms of payload, operator experience and overall efficiency.”
The latest series spans a broad spectrum—from the A25 to the all-new A50 and the flagship A60. Several models are already in-country, including the A35 through to the A50. The A25, A30 and A60 are expected to arrive before the end of the year.
Among the headline improvements is a redesigned cab offering increased visibility, enabling safer and more confident operation—an important feature for New Zealand’s rugged and variable worksites.

Operators will also benefit from an upgraded interface that consolidates all commonly used functions into a single, intuitive screen. Developed using real-world feedback, the new display makes it easier to access and control performance settings with greater precision.
The trucks offer increased payload capacities across the board, aimed at reducing fuel consumption and boosting shift productivity.
Making its debut in the local market is the A50, a new model that bridges the gap between the A45 and A60. With its high payload and more compact footprint, it is expected to appeal to operators needing both muscle and manoeuvrability.
“The A50 is an exciting addition as it’s a truck that offers high capacity, but in a package that we think could work well on New Zealand’s more variable and often tighter job sites,” says Falloon.
With its latest generation of haulers, Volvo is continuing its focus on safety, environmental responsibility and operator comfort.
Supported by TDX’s nationwide branch network, local operators will also benefit from ongoing servicing, support and technical advice.
“These trucks are built to work, built to last, and built with the operator in mind,” Falloon says.
“It’s a new era for hauling in New Zealand – and we’re proud to be bringing it to life.”
