Some 310 used trucks, over 3.5 tonnes (3500kg), were registered in the first four months of this year.

Of these, 255 of the trucks were in the under 10,500 kg class, nine in the 10,501 – 15,000kg segment, 23 in the 15,001 – 20,000kg class – and 23 in the over 20,001kg segment.

All of these used import trucks were diesel powered,  apart from three petrol-engined units.
It was a very different story, however, in the imported light trucks, vans and utes (under 3500kg) area, where of the 1291 used imports in the past four months, 803 were petrol driven, and 485 were diesel burners.

A further three were powered by LPG or CNG.
