New Zealand heavy equipment distributor TDX has announced the appointment of Sinead Horgan as chair of the board following the resignation of Greg Campbell.
Horgan, who has served as a non-executive director and chair of the TDX audit and risk committee, steps into the role with an extensive background in strategy, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and commercial banking. She has held directorships across multiple sectors, including construction, insurance, banking, global manufacturing, and IT.
Horgan says she is “delighted to step into the chair role of this iconic New Zealand company which has supplied and serviced the large, medium and small businesses of New Zealand that drive the New Zealand economy for over 40 years”.
Her appointment follows Campbell’s decision to step down for personal reasons after leading the company through challenging market conditions over the past year. Campbell, an experienced governance leader, joined the then TransDiesel Ltd board in March 2021 (rebranded TDX in mid-2022) after serving as chief executive of Ravensdown.
During his tenure, he played a crucial role in steering the company through market shifts and was instrumental in the successful launch of TDX’s sister company, LDX, which secured the distributorship for Linde Material Handling Equipment.
Company co-founder Alister McLaughlin paid tribute to Campbell’s leadership, noting his contributions in securing Toitū Carbon Reduce accreditation, earning recognition as a New Zealand Best Managed Company in 2023, and maintaining TDX’s status as the market leader in construction equipment sales.
“The TDX board and wider team sincerely thank Greg for his contributions and leadership,” the company stated.
