New Zealand heavy equipment distributor TDX has reaffirmed its position as a key player in the lubricants market, securing another five-year extension as the appointed distributor for Shell Lubricants.
The partnership, which began in 2020 under an initial three-year agreement and later extended to five years, will now continue under the deal.
The renewal highlights the strong collaboration between TDX and Shell Lubricants and ensures continuity in delivering high-performance lubricant solutions to businesses across key industries.
“TDX is proud to extend our long-standing relationship with Shell Lubricants,” says Jason Steele, TDX business manager for Shell Lubricants.
“This renewal ensures that our customers will continue to benefit from Shell’s innovative and high-performance lubrication products, backed by the local know-how and service experience of the TDX team.”
Since becoming Shell’s appointed distributor, TDX has offered reliable and high-quality lubricant solutions across the industrial, transport, and agriculture sectors.
“TDX’s commitment to delivering best-in-class products and services aligns perfectly with Shell’s vision for excellence in the lubricants industry,” TDX director Mike McKessar says.

“We are excited to continue working alongside Shell to drive innovation and value for our customers over the next five years and beyond.”
New Zealand’s lubricant industry is highly competitive, with over 150 brands contending for market share.
Shell has ranked as the world’s number one lubricants supplier for 18 consecutive years. According to TDX, the combination of Shell’s globally recognised products and its own local expertise provides an advantage for businesses seeking reliability, performance, and cost savings.
TDX is also aligning its strategy with the industry’s shift towards sustainability. The company is actively working with partners to meet Toitū carbon certification standards and supports the use of Panolin biodegradable lubricants in key applications.
“TDX has been a valued partner for Shell Lubricants in New Zealand, consistently demonstrating strong market expertise and a dedication to customer satisfaction,” says Rifqi Hari Muji, Shell Lubricants marketing general manager for Macro Distributors Asia Pacific.
“We look forward to continuing our successful collaboration and delivering high-quality lubrication solutions that support the evolving needs of businesses in New Zealand.”
