Toll Global Express will be changing its name and brand identity to Team Global Express while its New Zealand chief executive has announced his departure.
The company says the new name reflects the “passion, commitment, and integrity of our people who are the most integral part of our business as Australia and New Zealand’s leading intermodal logistics provider”.

Team Global Express chief executive Christine Holgate says the brand change started nearly a year ago as the company set out to transform they way it delivers for customers.
“One element of this transformation is our name change to Team Global Express, which reflects our heritage, culture, and commitment to deliver trusted and reliable services for our customers.
“Our business has a deep history serving customers, but it is the passion, dedication, and integrity of our team that we wanted to harness for our new brand.
“We will be gradually rolling out the new brand across our digital assets, website, uniform, and fleet from September,” Holgate says.

Meanwhile, Toll Global Express NZ chief executive Jon Adams has announced he is stepping down from the role.
In a LinkedIn post, Adams says he is proud to have led Toll’s NZ team for nearly four years, “but all good things come to an end”.
“I have taken the tough decision to pass on the baton and will soon be leaving the TGE whanau.
“Exciting times are ahead for our Team Global Express under the leadership of Christine Holgate which I will be cheering on from the sidelines,” he says.
“I am really proud of what the team have achieved for our customers, improving our safety record and our core service performance, as well as providing a far more transparent approach working with our customers.

“We’ve transformed our network – including opening the best transport hub in the country at Toll Tamaki – we’ve moved our business back into growth, and most importantly we’ve improved our team culture and engagement through our ways of working and team model.
“All this through a pretty challenging period, yet the focus of the team hasn’t wavered from looking out for each other and serving our customers.
“For me, I’m looking forward to a bit of a rest and refresh as well as some important family time back in the UK, and then on to the next challenge,” Adams says.
Under Adams’ leadership, Toll New Zealand has pledged to reduce its carbon emissions by 50% as part of becoming an official signatory to the Climate Leaders Coalition.
The New Zealand business unit of the global supply chain logistics company has pledged to meet the aggressive target by 2030 and is aiming for carbon neutrality by 2050.
Last year, Toll Group completed the sale of its global express business to Australian private equity fund manager Allegro Funds in a deal which Nikkei.com reported to be around A$7.8 million (NZ$8.3m).
Following the deal, the company said the global express business will remain focused on its Asia-Pacific logistics strengths.
