Pre-registration is now available (here) for the Transport and Heavy Equipment Expo, scheduled for early next year.
Also known as ‘THE Expo’, it will be held at Mystery Creek Events Centre, Hamilton, March 7-9 2013. Organisers expect 14,500 attendees.
The industry event, held every four years, is the only event in New Zealand where heavy equipment enthusiasts can network, purchase equipment and check out new developments in the industry, all in one location.
With a total event space of 46,750m2 and 75% of all sites now sold, event organisers say they now have only two exhibitor sites left in the main pavilion.
They make strong claims over exhibitor performance – saying that at the 2009 event, 24% of exhibitors made over $50,000 each in sales and 10% made over $1,000,000.
The 2009 event attracted 13,222 visitors, with 85% actively involved in the industry. The inaugural event in 2005 saw 15,592 attendees to the exhibition at Mystery Creek Events Centre.
There are many areas to display vehicles and machinery, additional to exhibitors’ static sites. The Power & Performance Zone is an area dedicated to showcasing heavy machinery capabilities, with an emphasis on entertainment. The Live Drive area allows customers to test drive vehicles on sealed roads while Show ‘n’ Shine is a competition celebrating big rigs, open to members of the public and exhibitors.
The NZ Transport Agency will be on site, with the ability for attendees to chat to experts on a number of regulatory issues, and free training sessions available.
THE Expo is backed by the Motor Industry Association, NZ Truck-Trailer Manufacturers Federation and NZ Equipment Suppliers Association, with NZ Truck & Driver and The Radio Network serving as media partners.
